How to obtain a mining agreement in Morocco?
The process involves filing a file with ONHYM or ANRT depending on the permit type. AMAY handles the entire process: legal review, file preparation, filing and follow-up until delivery.
How long does a mining permit take?
Depending on the zone and mineral, expect 4 to 12 weeks after complete filing. Sensitive regions (protected, border zones) require additional time.
Which documents are required for a mining agreement?
Applicant's ID, proof of address, topographic plan of the requested perimeter, technical memo on the target mineral, financial guarantees and preliminary environmental impact study.
Difference between research and exploitation permit?
The research permit authorizes prospecting (3 years renewable). The exploitation permit allows commercial extraction (4 years renewable). AMAY supports both.
